Recently, we delved into the heart of the Toyota experience through a unique immersive session, organised in collaboration with all their digital partners.

The aim? To step out of our role as an agency and take on that of the customer, to understand every stage of their journey, and to test our digital expertise the reality on the ground.

This experience was more than just a simple visit. It gave us the opportunity to gain a first-hand insight into the brand’s new retail concept, to explore the Toyota and Lexus showrooms, to enjoy a full day of test drives, and, above all, to discuss the teams’ current and future vision with them.

It was a key moment for aligning digital strategy with the real-world experience, and for continuing to develop initiatives that are ever more relevant and in tune with customers’ expectations.

Understanding the customer to better anticipate their expectations

The day began with a step back to take a broader view: a clear vision, championed by Toyota, in which every figure and every ambition converges towards a single goal – to deliver a perfectly seamless, consistent and user-centred experience.

But very quickly, this vision comes to life on the ground.

Nothing is left to chance. Every detail is carefully considered, orchestrated and perfected: the spaces, the materials, the routes, the interactions… everything is designed to create a natural, almost instinctive experience. Here, the customer doesn’t need to learn anything; everything is already self-evident.

This is precisely where the strength of this kind of immersion lies.

Facing up to the reality on the ground means moving beyond theory and getting down to the nitty-gritty. It means observing what really works, understanding what creates value, and identifying what transforms a simple interaction into a genuine experience.

A powerful reminder: the best strategies are not devised solely behind a screen. They are built through direct engagement with reality.

An environment designed with meticulous attention to detail

A tour of the workshops confirms what is apparent from the very first moment: the experience does not end with the customer; it also encompasses those who make it possible.

The workspaces are designed to the same high standards as the reception areas: functional, cohesive and pleasant. Nothing is left to chance. Behind this lies a firm conviction that a high-quality customer experience depends first and foremost on a working environment that is up to the task.

Experience the product to understand it better

Then comes the moment to move from observation to action.

Get behind the wheel, test it out, feel it. Move beyond words and into the real experience. This is often where it all comes down to: the ability to understand a product not in theory, but through the concrete experience it offers.

This moment allows you to grasp the subtleties, the positioning, and above all the consistency between the product and the overall experience envisaged by the brand.

An immersive experience that shapes our approach

Beyond the tour itself, this day acts as a catalyst for reflection.

It serves as a reminder that a powerful experience is never based on a single element, but on a perfectly aligned ecosystem: design, technology, service, environment and people.

Observing how Toyota orchestrates the whole experience encourages us to raise our standards in the digital experience design.

Because, ultimately, that’s where it all starts: a detailed understanding of users, their expectations and their behaviour.

It is this commitment that enables us to create experiences that are useful, consistent… and truly memorable.
